# of beds 22
Ratios 1:5 or 1:6 Charge in staffing
Required Certifications BLS, ACLS not required, but highly recommended
Common diagnoses/Types of patients miscellanous - medical observation unit
Experience or 'Must have' skills
Common titratable &/or set rate drips Heparin only
Charge Nurse/House Supervisor? Does the charge nurse take an assignment? Yes-occasionally have patients
Are there nurse aids on this unit/Ratios CNA-2 if able for floor
RT Equipment (vents, Cpap, BiPap, etc) No Vents
Is there tele on this unit? Monitor Techs? RNs read strips? Heavy tele unit. Monitored by Central monitoring
Shifts & Scheduling (Do you allow self-scheduling? Block scheduling?)
Weekend Requirements Every Other Weekend
Holiday Requirements Rotate with perm staff
Is there call or a standby requirement? no call
Floating Requirements? Yes to med surg
Scrub Color/Dress Code Caribbean Blue top and bottom OR White top and Caribbean Blue bottom OR all white top/bottom.
Unit/Department specific orientation 3 shift
Additional Notes fast paced unit, high turn over, D/C or admission from here.
Additional Questions D/C up to 16/day and refill on this unit. FAST paced.
Notes obtained: Phone Implementation, Email, or On-Site? RN do own EKGs, draw own labs.

$53.01 - $57.89/hour
