Radiation Therapist
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Radiation Therapist to deliver accurate and high-quality radiation therapy treatments to patients as part of their cancer care plan. The Radiation Therapist will operate radiation therapy equipment, position patients for treatment, ensure precise delivery of prescribed doses, and collaborate closely with radiation oncologists, medical physicists, and the oncology care team to support safe, effective, and patient-centered treatment.
Responsibilities:
• Administer daily radiation therapy treatments in accordance with physician prescriptions and established protocols
• Accurately position patients and immobilization devices to ensure precise treatment delivery
• Operate linear accelerators and related radiation therapy equipment safely and effectively
• Verify treatment parameters and perform quality assurance checks prior to treatment delivery
• Monitor patients during treatment sessions and respond promptly to patient needs or concerns
• Maintain accurate treatment records, documentation, and patient data
• Educate patients and families on treatment procedures, potential side effects, and care instructions
• Collaborate with radiation oncologists, dosimetrists, medical physicists, and oncology staff
• Adhere to radiation safety standards, infection control guidelines, and regulatory requirements
• Support a safe, compassionate, and supportive treatment environment
Qualifications:
• Graduate of an accredited Radiation Therapy program
• Active and unrestricted state license as a Radiation Therapist, where required
• ARRT (T) certification required or preferred per facility standards
• Experience in radiation oncology or clinical radiation therapy preferred
• Strong knowledge of radiation therapy techniques, equipment, and safety practices
• Excellent communication, patient-care, and technical skills
• Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centered oncology care
Pay Rate
$71.69 - $76.57/hour
