Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Pharmacist in Charge to oversee daily pharmacy operations and ensure safe, compliant, and efficient medication management. The PIC will be responsible for supervising pharmacy staff, managing drug inventory, ensuring regulatory compliance, verifying prescriptions, and maintaining high standards of patient safety and service quality.

Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee all daily pharmacy operations and workflow
• Supervise and support pharmacists, technicians, and support staff
• Ensure compliance with state and federal pharmacy laws and regulations
• Review, verify, and dispense prescriptions accurately
• Manage drug inventory, ordering, storage, and controlled substances
• Develop and maintain pharmacy policies, procedures, and quality standards
• Monitor medication safety, therapeutic appropriateness, and interactions
• Ensure timely medication availability for patients and departments
• Maintain accurate pharmacy records and documentation
• Promote a safe, clean, and efficient pharmacy environment
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize patient outcomes

Required Qualifications:
• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from an accredited institution
• Active, unrestricted Illinois Pharmacist license
• Minimum of 5 years of pharmacy experience
• At least 2 years of experience in a supervisory or leadership role
• Strong knowledge of pharmacy operations and regulatory compliance
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Proficiency with pharmacy management and dispensing systems
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced healthcare environment
• Commitment to patient safety, accuracy, and high-quality care

Pay Rate
$64.49 - $64.49/hour
