Ophthalmologist – Medical / General

Position Summary:
We are seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Ophthalmologist to provide comprehensive medical and general ophthalmology services in a busy outpatient practice setting. The physician will evaluate and treat a wide range of eye conditions, perform in-office procedures and surgical interventions, manage patient care plans, and collaborate with clinical staff to deliver efficient, high-quality, patient-centered eye care.

Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct comprehensive eye examinations and diagnose ophthalmic conditions
• Manage medical ophthalmology cases including cataracts, glaucoma, and general eye disorders
• Perform in-office procedures and surgical interventions as appropriate
• Interpret diagnostic testing and imaging to guide treatment decisions
• Prescribe corrective lenses, medications, and treatment plans
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Collaborate with optometrists, technicians, and support staff to ensure efficient patient flow
• Provide patient education on diagnoses, treatment options, and preventive eye care

Required Qualifications:
• MD or DO with completion of an accredited Ophthalmology residency
• Board-certified or board-eligible in Ophthalmology
• Active, unrestricted state medical license or ability to obtain
• Experience in medical and general ophthalmology preferred
• Strong diagnostic, clinical, and surgical skills
• Excellent communication and patient-care abilities
• Ability to manage high patient volume while maintaining quality of care
