Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Nursing (DON) to lead and oversee all nursing services within a growing home health organization. The DON will be responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of clinical operations, ensuring high-quality patient care delivery in compliance with federal, state, CMS, and accreditation standards. This leadership role requires strong clinical expertise, regulatory knowledge, and the ability to manage multidisciplinary teams in a fast-paced healthcare environment.


Key Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership, direction, and supervision to nursing and clinical staff
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, CMS, Medicare, and accreditation regulations
• Oversee patient care plans, clinical documentation, and standards of practice
• Lead Quality Assurance & Performance Improvement (QAPI) initiatives
• Monitor clinical outcomes and implement process improvements
• Conduct staff training, competency evaluations, and performance reviews
• Participate in hiring, onboarding, and disciplinary processes
• Collaborate with physicians, interdisciplinary team members, and administrative leadership
• Ensure adherence to infection control, safety standards, and risk management protocols
• Review, develop, and approve nursing policies and procedures
• Manage multiple clinical priorities while maintaining operational efficiency


Required Qualifications:

• Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Wisconsin
• Master’s Degree in Nursing (MSN) required (Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required)
• Minimum 3 years of clinical nursing experience
• Minimum 2 years of supervisory or management experience
• Strong knowledge of federal and state regulations (CMS, Medicare, ACHC, Joint Commission as applicable)
• Experience with Quality Assurance & Performance Improvement (QAPI) programs
• Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills
• Excellent leadership, communication, and conflict resolution abilities
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment
• Professional, accountable, and patient-centered leadership approach

Pay Rate
$47.49 - $47.49/hour
