Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to support the delivery of high-quality rehabilitative care to patients with physical, developmental, or cognitive challenges. The COTA will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to implement treatment plans that help patients improve independence, function, and quality of life in daily activities.
Responsibilities:

Assist the Occupational Therapist in evaluating patients’ functional abilities and therapy needs.

Carry out individualized treatment plans focusing on improving mobility, strength, coordination, and daily living skills.

Use therapeutic activities and adaptive techniques to help patients achieve rehabilitation goals.

Educate patients and families on exercises, adaptive equipment use, and home care strategies.

Document patient progress, observations, and treatment outcomes accurately and in a timely manner.

Communicate regularly with the supervising Occupational Therapist and other members of the care team to ensure coordinated care.

Encourage and motivate patients to actively participate in their therapy sessions.

Maintain a safe, supportive, and positive treatment environment.
Qualifications:

Associate’s Degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.

Current and active state license as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA).

Valid BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.

Previous experience in a clinical, rehabilitation, or skilled nursing setting preferred.

Strong communication, observation, and interpersonal skills.

Pay Rate
$42.80 - $47.68/hour
