Travel Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)

Position Summary

We are seeking a Travel Physical Therapist Assistant to assist physical therapists in providing rehabilitation services that improve patients' mobility, strength, balance, and functional independence. The assistant will deliver prescribed treatments across various healthcare settings.

Responsibilities

• Assist physical therapists in implementing individualized treatment plans.

• Guide patients through prescribed therapeutic exercises and activities.

• Help patients improve mobility, balance, strength, and coordination.

• Assist patients with transfers, walking, and functional movements.

• Monitor patient responses and report progress to the supervising therapist.

• Educate patients on exercises and safe movement techniques.

• Maintain accurate treatment records and documentation.

• Prepare and maintain therapy equipment and treatment areas.

• Follow patient safety and infection control protocols.

• Adapt to different facilities and patient populations while traveling.

Qualifications

• Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.

• Current PTA license or certification as required by the state.

• Previous physical therapy experience preferred.

• Strong communication, organizational, and patient-care skills.

• Ability to work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.

• Willingness to travel and adapt to different clinical settings.
