Travel Physical Therapist Assistant

Position Summary

We are seeking a Travel Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to support physical therapists in providing patient care and rehabilitation services. The PTA will help patients improve mobility, strength, balance, and functional independence across various healthcare settings.

Responsibilities

• Assist physical therapists in implementing individualized treatment plans.

• Guide patients through prescribed therapeutic exercises and activities.

• Monitor patient progress and report changes to the supervising therapist.

• Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and functional activities.

• Educate patients on exercises and safe movement techniques.

• Maintain accurate treatment records and documentation.

• Ensure therapy equipment is used safely and properly.

• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to support patient recovery.

• Follow established safety standards and therapy guidelines.

• Adapt to different facilities and patient populations while traveling.

Qualifications

• Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.

• Current PTA license or certification as required by the state.

• Previous physical therapy experience preferred.

• Strong communication, organizational, and patient-care skills.

• Ability to work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.

• Willingness to travel and adapt to different clinical settings.
