Job Title: Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist
Position Summary
The Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist assists physicians and the healthcare team during cardiac catheterization and other cardiovascular procedures. This role prepares patients and equipment, assists during procedures, maintains a sterile environment, and supports safe and efficient patient care.
Responsibilities
- Prepare patients, equipment, and procedure rooms for cardiac catheterization procedures
- Assist physicians and nurses during diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures
- Operate and monitor specialized cardiac catheterization equipment
- Maintain sterile technique and follow infection control and safety standards
- Monitor patients and report changes in condition to the healthcare team
- Prepare and maintain necessary supplies and equipment
- Assist with post-procedure patient care and room turnover
- Maintain accurate procedure documentation and patient records
- Follow facility policies and applicable regulatory requirements
Qualifications
- Relevant certification or education in Cardiovascular Technology, Radiologic Technology, or a related field
- Previous Cardiac Cath Lab experience preferred
- Knowledge of cardiac catheterization procedures and sterile technique
- Strong attention to detail and patient safety
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- BLS certification preferred
Pay Rate
$70.33 - $75.20/hour
