Surgical Technician – Operating Room
We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technician (Surg Tech) to support the surgical team by preparing the operating room, maintaining sterile technique, and assisting during surgical procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare the operating room, instruments, and surgical supplies.
- Maintain a sterile field throughout surgical procedures.
- Pass instruments and supplies to the surgeon during procedures.
- Perform sponge, needle, and instrument counts.
- Assist with patient positioning and surgical site preparation.
- Clean, prepare, and maintain surgical instruments and equipment.
- Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and anesthesia staff.
- Follow infection control and patient safety protocols.
Qualifications:
- Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
- CST (Certified Surgical Technologist) certification preferred/required.
- Active state registration or license, if required.
- Current BLS certification required.
- Strong knowledge of sterile technique, surgical instruments, and OR procedures.
- Previous Operating Room/Surgical Technician experience preferred.
Pay Rate
$17.00 - $17.00/hour
