Surgical Assistant
Position Summary
We are seeking a Surgical Assistant to support surgeons and the operating room team during surgical procedures. The Surgical Assistant will help prepare patients and equipment, maintain a sterile environment, assist during procedures, and support safe and efficient surgical care.
Responsibilities
- Prepare patients, instruments, and equipment for surgical procedures.
- Assist surgeons during procedures as directed.
- Maintain sterile technique and follow infection control standards.
- Handle and pass surgical instruments and supplies.
- Assist with patient positioning and surgical site preparation.
- Monitor and maintain surgical equipment and supplies.
- Support specimen handling and proper documentation.
- Assist with room turnover and post-procedure activities.
- Communicate effectively with surgeons, nurses, and other operating room staff.
Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited surgical assisting or related program preferred.
- Relevant surgical or operating room experience preferred.
- Knowledge of sterile technique, surgical instruments, and procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
Pay Rate
$116,000.00 - $140,000.00/year
