Staff Pharmacist – Retail (PRN)
Position Summary
Provide safe and effective pharmacy services in a retail setting on an as-needed (PRN) basis. Ensure accurate medication dispensing, counsel patients, and support daily pharmacy operations while maintaining regulatory and safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Review and accurately dispense prescription medications.
- Verify prescriptions for appropriate dosage, interactions, allergies, and contraindications.
- Counsel patients on medication use, side effects, and safety.
- Communicate with prescribers and healthcare professionals regarding medication-related concerns.
- Oversee and support pharmacy technicians and daily workflow.
- Maintain accurate patient and pharmacy records.
- Manage medication inventory, storage, and expiration dates.
- Follow state and federal pharmacy regulations and safety standards.
- Provide immunizations and other clinical services as authorized.
- Support pharmacy operations and staffing needs on a PRN basis.
Qualifications
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy from an accredited program.
- Current Pharmacist license in the applicable state.
- Previous retail/community pharmacy experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of medications, dispensing practices, and pharmacy regulations.
- Excellent communication, patient-care, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work flexible PRN shifts as needed.
Pay Rate
$68.39 - $73.27/hour
