Job Description: Speech Language Pathologist

Position Title

Speech Language Pathologist (SLP)

Position Summary

The team is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist with infant feeding and ICU experience to start in June/early July. This role is responsible for providing speech-language pathology services to a pediatric population ranging from neonates to adolescents, including evaluation and treatment of communication and swallowing disorders.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Evaluation & Treatment

  • Evaluate and treat patients with communication and swallowing disorders and developmental delays.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of normal growth and development to provide age-appropriate services.
  • Utilize pediatric behavior management strategies during evaluations and treatment.
  • Match diagnostic and therapeutic interventions to the child's age, developmental level, and disability.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans with age-appropriate goals and timelines.
  • Collaborate with families to establish mutually agreed-upon treatment objectives.

Documentation & Compliance

  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with organizational policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with professional and regulatory standards.

Program Support

  • Evaluate and recommend equipment and supply needs.
  • Assist in the supervision and monitoring of speech pathology students.
  • Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Education

  • Master's Degree or higher in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited university.

Licensure & Certifications

  • Arizona Department of Health Services License (must be obtained prior to start date).
  • Arizona Department of Public Safety Fingerprint Clearance Card (must be obtained prior to start date).
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from the American Heart Association.
  • ASHA Certification (CCC-SLP) or currently completing a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY).

Experience

  • Experience in infant feeding and ICU settings preferred.
  • Pediatric speech-language pathology experience preferred.

Preferred Skills

  • Strong pediatric assessment and treatment skills.
  • Experience working with patients from neonatal through adolescent populations.
  • Knowledge of swallowing/feeding disorders and communication disorders.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and family collaboration skills.

Start Date

  • June / Early July (preferred).

    Pay Rate
    $17.00 - $17.00/hour
