Shift

• Day Shift: 4x10 Hours
• Schedule: 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM

Position Overview

1st Timer – WA LICSW Psych ED – Req 10232

The position supports adult and pediatric patients within the Emergency Department setting, conducting crisis risk assessments and providing mental health services. Candidates may be required to float between units or facilities as needed.

Duties

• Conduct crisis risk assessments for adult and pediatric patients in the Emergency Department.
• Provide mental health counseling and clinical social work services.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to support patient care plans.
• Maintain accurate patient documentation using Epic charting systems.
• Float between units and, if necessary, to Holy Family Hospital performing similar duties.
• Support patient care in a fast-paced acute care and trauma center environment.

Required Skills & Experience

• Licensed as one of the following in Washington State:
  • Mental Health Counselor
  • Marriage and Family Therapist
  • Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW)
• Experience conducting crisis risk assessments for adults and pediatric patients.
• Ability to work in both adult and pediatric Emergency Department settings.

Preferred Skills & Experience

• Previous hospital experience preferred.

• Floating between units required: Yes
• On-call required: No
• Weekend requirement: Every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday)
• Block scheduling: No
• Expected patient ratio: 7:1
• Schedule: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
• If overstaffed, candidate may float to Holy Family Hospital performing the same duties.
