Registered Nurse (RN) Unit Manager – Basic Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) Unit Manager to oversee daily nursing operations and ensure high-quality patient care within the facility. The RN Unit Manager will supervise nursing staff, coordinate patient care, and maintain compliance with healthcare regulations and facility policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and support nursing staff on the assigned unit
- Ensure quality patient care and proper documentation
- Coordinate patient care plans with healthcare teams
- Monitor resident conditions and address clinical concerns
- Assist with staffing schedules and workflow management
- Maintain compliance with facility policies and state regulations
- Provide leadership, training, and guidance to nursing staff
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and physicians
- Support infection control and patient safety initiatives
- Respond promptly to emergencies and resident needs
Requirements:
- Active RN License
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Experience in LTC/SNF/Rehab setting preferred
- BLS/CPR Certification preferred
Pay Rate
$59.52 - $64.40/hour
