Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) – Telemetry to provide high-quality care for patients requiring continuous cardiac monitoring and management of complex medical conditions. The Tele RN will assess patient needs, monitor cardiac rhythms and vital signs, administer medications and treatments, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and provide safe, patient-centered care in a fast-paced hospital environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide comprehensive nursing care to telemetry patients with acute and chronic medical conditions
• Perform patient assessments and monitor changes in health status
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, vital signs, oxygen levels, and other telemetry parameters
• Recognize and respond promptly to changes in patient condition, including cardiac rhythm changes and clinical deterioration
• Administer medications, IV therapies, treatments, and procedures as prescribed
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans
• Manage patients requiring cardiac monitoring, post-operative observation, and medical management
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, respiratory therapists, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
• Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, medications, treatments, and discharge instructions
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic medical records (EMR)
• Operate and monitor medical equipment according to patient needs and facility protocols
• Assist with emergency interventions and rapid response situations as needed
• Follow infection prevention, patient safety, and regulatory standards
• Promote a safe, respectful, and patient-centered care environment
Required Qualifications:
• Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN preferred)
• Current BLS certification required
• Current ACLS certification required/preferred based on facility requirements
• Minimum 1–2 years of recent Telemetry RN experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of cardiac monitoring, medications, and acute patient care practices
• Excellent clinical assessment, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced hospital environment
• Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems preferred
Pay Rate
$68.76 - $73.63/hour
