Position Summary
We are seeking a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Registered Nurse to provide specialized care to critically ill children. The RN will monitor patients, administer treatments, assist with procedures, and support patients and their families.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to critically ill pediatric patients.
- Monitor vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and changes in patient condition.
- Administer medications, IV therapy, and treatments as ordered.
- Manage and monitor ventilators and other critical care equipment.
- Assist with procedures and emergency interventions.
- Maintain accurate patient records and nursing documentation.
- Educate and support patients and families.
- Follow infection control and patient safety standards.
- Collaborate with physicians and the healthcare team.
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- PICU or pediatric critical care experience preferred.
- Knowledge of pediatric critical care and emergency procedures.
- BLS and PALS certification preferred or required based on facility requirements.
- Ability to care for high-acuity pediatric patients.
- Strong assessment, critical-thinking, communication, and teamwork skills.
Pay Rate
$78.17 - $83.05/hour
