Registered Nurse – Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU RN)
We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to provide specialized care to patients recovering from anesthesia following surgical and procedural interventions. The PACU RN will monitor patient recovery, manage pain, and ensure a safe transition of care.
Responsibilities:
- Assess and monitor patients during the post-anesthesia recovery phase.
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and pain management treatments.
- Monitor vital signs, airway, and neurological status, responding to changes promptly.
- Prepare patients for discharge or transfer to the appropriate unit.
- Educate patients and families on post-operative care and recovery instructions.
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
Qualifications:
- Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
- BLS and ACLS certifications required; PALS preferred for pediatric settings.
- Strong knowledge of post-anesthesia care, pain management, and critical patient assessment.
- Previous PACU, ICU, Critical Care, or Perioperative nursing experience preferred.
Pay Rate
$52.85 - $57.72/hour
