RN LDRP/OB
Position Summary
We are seeking a Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum (LDRP/OB) Registered Nurse (RN) to provide comprehensive care to patients throughout labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum. The RN will monitor maternal and fetal conditions, assist with deliveries, administer treatments, and support patients and families.
Responsibilities
- Assess and monitor maternal and fetal conditions throughout labor and delivery.
- Monitor fetal heart rate, contractions, vital signs, and clinical changes.
- Provide nursing care during labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum periods.
- Administer medications, IV therapy, and treatments as prescribed.
- Assist physicians and providers during deliveries and obstetric procedures.
- Recognize and respond to maternal or fetal complications and emergencies.
- Provide postpartum and newborn care as appropriate.
- Educate patients and families on labor, recovery, breastfeeding, and newborn care.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
- Collaborate with obstetricians, pediatric providers, anesthesia staff, and the healthcare team.
- Follow patient safety, infection control, and obstetric care standards.
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the applicable state.
- Nursing degree from an accredited program.
- Previous LDRP, Labor & Delivery, OB, or postpartum experience preferred.
- Strong maternal and fetal assessment and clinical decision-making skills.
- BLS and NRP certification preferred or required based on role requirements.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and patient-care skills.
Pay Rate
$75.71 - $80.59/hour
