Position Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Labor & Delivery to provide comprehensive care to mothers and newborns throughout the labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum process. The L&D RN will monitor maternal and fetal well-being, assist with childbirth procedures, administer medications and treatments, and collaborate with obstetricians, midwives, anesthesiologists, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe, patient-centered care.


Key Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive assessments of pregnant patients throughout labor, delivery, and postpartum periods
• Monitor maternal vital signs, contractions, and fetal heart rate patterns using electronic fetal monitoring systems
• Provide nursing care for patients experiencing routine and high-risk pregnancies
• Administer medications, IV therapies, epidurals, and treatments as prescribed
• Assist physicians and midwives during vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, and emergency procedures
• Recognize and respond quickly to maternal and fetal complications or changes in condition
• Provide emotional support, comfort measures, and education to patients and families
• Assist with postpartum recovery and newborn transition care
• Educate patients regarding labor processes, breastfeeding, postpartum care, and discharge instructions
• Collaborate with obstetricians, neonatologists, anesthesia providers, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic medical records (EMR)
• Ensure compliance with infection control, patient safety, and maternal-newborn care standards


Required Qualifications:

• Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN preferred)
• Minimum 1–2 years of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience preferred
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
• Fetal Monitoring certification preferred
• Strong knowledge of obstetric nursing practices, fetal monitoring, and labor management
• Excellent clinical judgment, communication, and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
• Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems preferred

Pay Rate
$58.56 - $63.43/hour
