RN – Intermediate Care
Provide specialized nursing care to patients requiring close monitoring and complex medical management. The Intermediate Care RN will assess patient needs, monitor clinical status, administer treatments, and respond promptly to changes in condition while collaborating with the healthcare team.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and monitor changes in condition.
- Monitor vital signs, cardiac rhythms, oxygen levels, and other clinical parameters.
- Administer medications, IV therapy, and prescribed treatments.
- Care for patients requiring telemetry, oxygen therapy, and enhanced monitoring.
- Recognize and respond promptly to clinical deterioration and emergencies.
- Provide wound care and other skilled nursing interventions as needed.
- Educate patients and families on treatments, medications, and discharge needs.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
- Follow infection control, patient safety, and nursing standards.
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Previous intermediate care, step-down, progressive care, telemetry, ICU, or medical-surgical experience preferred.
- Strong assessment, cardiac monitoring, and critical-thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple complex patients in a fast-paced environment.
Pay Rate
$70.38 - $75.25/hour
