Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to provide specialized critical care nursing in an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) setting. The ICU RN will care for critically ill patients requiring advanced monitoring, complex treatments, and life-support interventions. This role requires strong clinical judgment, critical thinking skills, and the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe, evidence-based, and patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform comprehensive assessments and continuous monitoring of critically ill patients
• Manage care for patients requiring intensive monitoring, complex therapies, and advanced interventions
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, ventilators, hemodynamic status, and other critical care equipment
• Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and treatments as prescribed
• Manage patients requiring mechanical ventilation, vasoactive medications, and advanced life-support measures
• Recognize and respond quickly to changes in patient condition and clinical emergencies
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
• Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses, treatments, and care plans
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in electronic medical records (EMR)
• Ensure compliance with infection control, patient safety, and critical care standards
• Assist with procedures, emergency interventions, and stabilization of critically ill patients
• Support continuity of care during transfers, procedures, and transitions between care areas
Required Qualifications:
• Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN preferred)
• Minimum 1–2 years of recent ICU or critical care nursing experience preferred
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Strong knowledge of critical care nursing practices, advanced monitoring, and emergency interventions
• Experience managing ventilated patients, critical infusions, and complex medical conditions preferred
• Excellent clinical judgment, communication, and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
• Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems preferred
Pay Rate
$17.00 - $17.00/hour
