Pediatric Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN - ER PEDS)
Position Summary
We are seeking a Pediatric Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) to provide specialized emergency care to infants, children, and adolescents. The RN will rapidly assess patients, provide emergency treatments, monitor conditions, and support safe patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
Perform rapid assessments and prioritize pediatric patients based on clinical needs.
Monitor vital signs, symptoms, pain levels, and changes in patient condition.
Administer medications, IV therapy, fluids, and prescribed treatments.
Assist with emergency procedures and interventions.
Respond promptly to changes in condition and pediatric emergencies.
Provide age-appropriate care and support to children and their families.
Assist with wound care, specimen collection, and other clinical procedures.
Educate patients and families on treatments, medications, and discharge instructions.
Accurately document assessments, treatments, and patient responses.
Maintain infection control, patient safety, and pediatric emergency care standards.
Qualifications
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the applicable state.
Nursing degree from an accredited program.
Previous pediatric emergency, pediatric, or emergency department experience preferred.
Strong pediatric assessment, critical-thinking, and clinical decision-making skills.
BLS and PALS certification as required.
Excellent communication, teamwork, and patient-care skills.
Pay Rate
$70.33 - $75.20/hour
