RN – Electrophysiology
We are seeking an experienced Electrophysiology Registered Nurse (RN) to provide specialized care for patients undergoing cardiac electrophysiology procedures. The RN will monitor patients, assist with procedures, administer medications, and support safe, high-quality cardiac care.
Responsibilities:
- Assess and monitor patients before, during, and after electrophysiology procedures.
- Prepare patients and the procedure area for EP studies and cardiac procedures.
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments as ordered.
- Monitor cardiac rhythm, vital signs, and patient responses throughout procedures.
- Assist physicians with electrophysiology procedures and interventions.
- Recognize and respond to changes in patient condition and cardiac emergencies.
- Maintain accurate patient records and procedure documentation.
- Provide patient and family education regarding procedures and recovery.
- Follow infection control, patient safety, and radiation safety practices.
- Collaborate with electrophysiologists, cardiologists, technicians, and other healthcare professionals.
Qualifications:
- Current, unrestricted RN license.
- Nursing degree from an accredited program.
- Previous cardiac, electrophysiology, cath lab, or critical care experience preferred.
- Knowledge of cardiac rhythms, EP procedures, and patient monitoring.
- Strong clinical judgment and critical-thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced procedural environment.
- Compassionate, dependable, and patient-focused.
Pay Rate
$68.09 - $72.97/hour
