Registered Nurse (RN) – Progressive Care Unit (PCU)

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to provide high-quality patient care in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU). The PCU RN will care for patients requiring close monitoring and intermediate-level care, bridging the gap between intensive care and medical-surgical units. The RN will assess patient conditions, administer treatments, monitor cardiac and vital signs, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to ensure safe, effective, and patient-centered outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and ongoing monitoring of clinical status
• Provide direct nursing care to patients with complex medical and post-acute conditions
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments as ordered
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, telemetry, and vital signs; respond to changes in patient condition
• Implement and evaluate individualized nursing care plans
• Assist with procedures and coordinate care with physicians and specialists
• Educate patients and families on care plans, medications, and recovery expectations
• Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant nursing documentation
• Ensure adherence to patient safety standards, infection control, and clinical protocols
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support continuity of care

Qualifications:

• Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Nursing degree (Associate’s or Bachelor’s preferred)
• Experience in PCU, step-down, telemetry, ICU, or acute care nursing preferred
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and clinical judgment skills
• Proficiency in cardiac monitoring and managing higher-acuity patients
• BLS required; ACLS preferred or required per facility standards
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and patient-care skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-acuity healthcare environment

Pay Rate
$56.22 - $61.10/hour
