Cardiac drips: Amiodarone, Cardizem, Dobutamine, Dopamine, Milrinone, Nitroglycerin
Diuretics: Bumex, Lasix
Anticoagulants: Aggrastat, Argatroban, Heparin
Insulin drips
Minimum Experience: 1 year; 1st Timers not accepted
Patient Population: Adults to Geriatrics
Certifications Required: BLS, ACLS
General Skills and Work Setting Requirements: Overflow IMCU; Arrhythmia management; Cardioversion, Cardiac CHF, Chest pain, Renal, Pulmonary (COPD, pulmonary edema) PE, DVT Cardiac Arrhythmias (stable A-Fib, SVT, Bradycardia) Surgical (cholecystectomy, appy's, chest tubes, biliary drains) Occasional vascular patients, Post Cardiac Cath, TR Bands, DKA. Occasional Ortho or CVA patient overflow- These patients are transferred as soon as possible to appropriate unit; TR Bands as well as EVERYTHING under the MEd/Surg umbrella, Basic arrhythmia knowledge.
Ratio / Census: 1:5-6; 32 beds
Unit Systems: Epic (Preferred), Pyxis, SBAR
Scrub Color: Navy Blue
RTO: Maximum of 7 days per contract
Weekends: Typically every other weekend though perm staff get scheduled first and the travelers fill in the gaps as needed
Floating: Yes, within the facility/scope of practice as needed
Call Requirements: Call is rare, response time is 2 hours. Travelers typically do not get Precedex, this is for core staff to manage
Holidays: If one major holiday falls in his/her assignment period, the traveler is expected to work it. If two major holidays fall in his/her assignment period, the traveler is expected to work both of the holidays. If three major holidays fall in his/her assignment period, the traveler is expected to work two of the holidays.

Compliance: Full compliance required to start on time; if not compliant in time the push back is 2 weeks due to bi-weekly orientation schedule.
Client Offer - Candidate will be reviewed by clinical to determine clinical fit, if clinical pass and within Piedmont guidelines, candidate will be sent to the manager for final decision. Clinical screens will be sent on case-by-case basis.
Locals accepted - Same rate
Please Note: Number of Non-Billable Orientation (NBO) Hours is determined by contract length (ex 8hrs for 8 week assignment; 19hrs for 19 week assignment)

$50.23 - $55.11/hour
