Registered Nurse - MedSurg / Telemetry
Position Overview We are seeking an independent, highly organized Registered Nurse for a MedSurg/Telemetry role in a fast-paced, 10-bed Rapid Admission Unit. This specialized unit focuses on general medical patients and surgical patients awaiting procedures, resulting in higher patient turnover than a standard floor. The ideal candidate communicates clearly, thrives in a high-throughput environment, and manages a 5:1 patient ratio with precision.
Key Responsibilities
Perform rapid admissions, comprehensive assessments, and continuous telemetry monitoring for general medical and pre-operative surgical patients.
Deliver direct patient care, administer medications, and stabilize patients in a fast-turning 10-bed unit.
Communicate clearly and collaborate effectively with care teams, surgeons, and emergency staff to ensure safe patient transitions.
Operate independently with strong clinical judgment to manage frequent turnover while maintaining strict patient safety standards.
Complete accurate, timely documentation and telemetry strip interpretations in accordance with facility policies.
Requirements
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of recent MedSurg/Telemetry experience.
Certifications: Active RN License, BLS, and ACLS required.
Skills: Excellent communication, strong independent decision-making, and comfort with rapid patient turnover.
