Job Summary:
Monitors patients for and provides education on food/drug interactions. Records food and drug interactions in the education section. Consults with physicians regarding appropriate diet modifications.
Job Responsibilities:
- Screens and assesses patients accurately and in a timely manner based on levels of care; determines patients’ nutritional needs and status and provides follow-up care.
- Interviews patients and/or their families to obtain a history of food habits and preferences.
- Interprets pertinent laboratory, physical, and social data in the medical record as it applies to nutrition care.
- Provides nutrition education and records patients’ diet instructions and their understanding of the diet in the education section.
- Modifies patient menus as needed.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Minimum one (1) year of experience.
Preferred Skills & Experience:
- Two (2) years of experience.
Pay Rate
$56.14 - $61.02/hour
