Duties:
Job Summary:
Monitors patients for and provides education on food/drug interactions. Records food and drug interactions in the education section. Consults with physicians regarding appropriate diet modification.

Job Responsibilities:
-Screens and assesses patients in an accurate and timely manner based on levels of care; determines patients' nutritional needs and status and provides follow-up care.
-Interviews patients and/or their families to obtain history of food habits and preferences.
-Interprets pertinent laboratory, physical and social data in the medical record, as it applies to nutrition care.
-Provides nutrition education and records patient's diet and diet instructions and the patient's understanding of the diet in the education section.
-Modifies patient menus as needed.

Skills:
Required Skills & Experience:
-Minimal one (1) year of experience.

Preferred Skills & Experience:
-Two (2) years of experience.

Schedule Notes:
•In- patient experience
•At least 2 years of experience required, 3 years or more years of experience is preferred.
•Bachelor’s Degree required, graduate from accredited college/university with a degree in Dietetics or Foods and Nutrition
•Registration by the Commissions on Dietetic Registration (CDR) as a Registered Dietitian
•Additional credentials such as Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES)/diabetes educator OR Certified Nutrition Support Clinician (CNSC)/critical illness is highly desired.

•8:30am-4:30pm, 35 hours / week, 1 hour break
•Weekends and holidays are required. Mostly 1 or 2 weekends per month.
•Interviews: Webex and/or in person

Pay Rate
$56.14 - $61.02/hour
