Description:
Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Radiology / Cardiology / MRI Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging procedures that assist physicians in diagnosing and treating patients. The Technologist will operate advanced imaging equipment, prepare and position patients, ensure high-quality diagnostic results, and provide safe, compassionate care while following radiation safety, MRI safety, and department protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform diagnostic imaging procedures according to physician orders and established protocols
• Prepare, position, and educate patients before imaging procedures to ensure comfort and safety
• Operate imaging equipment including X-ray, MRI, cardiology imaging, or related diagnostic systems as assigned
• Obtain high-quality images while maintaining patient safety and image accuracy
• Review images for quality, completeness, and proper positioning before submission for interpretation
• Assist physicians and radiologists/cardiologists during diagnostic procedures when required
• Administer contrast media as permitted by scope of practice and facility guidelines
• Monitor patients during procedures and respond appropriately to adverse reactions or changes in condition
• Follow radiation safety practices and MRI safety standards to minimize risk to patients and staff
• Maintain accurate patient documentation, procedure records, and imaging information in PACS/EMR systems
• Perform equipment checks, quality assurance activities, and report equipment issues as needed
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and healthcare teams to support patient care
• Maintain compliance with infection control, regulatory standards, and department policies
Required Qualifications:
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology or Medical Imaging program
• Active state licensure/certification as required for the assigned specialty
• ARRT certification preferred/required based on modality
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 1–2 years of recent imaging experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of anatomy, imaging procedures, patient positioning, and safety practices
• Experience with PACS, RIS, and electronic medical record (EMR) systems preferred
• Excellent technical skills, communication abilities, and attention to detail
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment
Pay Rate
$66.06 - $70.94/hour
