Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)

Position Summary

We are seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to provide therapeutic care under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist. The PTA will assist patients with mobility, strength, balance, and functional activities to support recovery and independence.

Responsibilities

  • Implement treatment plans developed by the Physical Therapist.

  • Provide therapeutic exercises and functional mobility activities.

  • Assist patients with gait training, transfers, balance, and strengthening.

  • Monitor patient progress and report changes to the Physical Therapist.

  • Educate patients on exercises and safe movement techniques.

  • Use therapeutic equipment and modalities within scope of practice.

  • Document treatments, patient responses, and progress accurately.

  • Maintain patient safety and follow infection control procedures.

  • Communicate effectively with patients, caregivers, and the healthcare team.

  • Maintain a safe, organized, and patient-centered therapy environment.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.

  • Current PTA license or certification as required by the applicable state.

  • Previous clinical or PTA experience preferred.

  • Strong communication, clinical, and organizational skills.

$41.41 - $46.29/hour
