Job Title: Physical Therapist Manager
Job Description:
Seeking an experienced Physical Therapist Manager to oversee both inpatient and outpatient physical therapy services in a hospital-based setting. This role is responsible for managing daily department operations, supporting interdisciplinary collaboration, promoting staff development, and ensuring high-quality patient care and departmental efficiency.
The Physical Therapist Manager will provide direct patient care as needed, including physical therapy evaluations, treatment planning, and therapeutic interventions. Responsibilities also include managing department budgets, optimizing revenue streams, coordinating specialty clinics, monitoring compliance standards, supporting audits and reporting requirements, and ensuring adherence to state and federal healthcare regulations.
The position requires strong leadership, organizational, communication, and clinical skills with the ability to work effectively in both hospital and community-based environments. Travel to remote clinical locations may occasionally be required.
Responsibilities:
- Manage inpatient and outpatient physical therapy operations
- Perform patient evaluations and establish treatment plans
- Supervise and support therapy staff and department development
- Coordinate interdisciplinary care and specialty clinics
- Monitor departmental productivity, compliance, and financial performance
- Maintain accurate documentation and reporting
- Support quality improvement and patient-centered care initiatives
- Ensure compliance with corporate, state, and federal regulations
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher from an accredited Physical Therapy program
- Minimum 4 years of full-time patient care experience
- Previous management experience preferred
- Active Physical Therapist license in good standing
- Current BLS certification required
- Experience with Cerner EMR preferred
- Strong communication, leadership, organizational, and computer skills
Shift: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Guaranteed Hours: 32 hours per week

Pay Rate
$89.43 - $94.31/hour
