Position Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to assist Physical Therapists in providing high-quality rehabilitation services to patients with injuries, illnesses, disabilities, or functional limitations. The PTA will support the delivery of individualized treatment plans, provide therapeutic interventions, monitor patient progress, and help patients improve mobility, strength, independence, and overall functional outcomes under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.


Key Responsibilities:

• Assist Physical Therapists in implementing individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and functional goals
• Provide therapeutic exercises, mobility training, gait training, balance activities, and functional rehabilitation interventions
• Assist patients with improving strength, flexibility, endurance, coordination, and overall mobility
• Perform treatment procedures within the scope of practice and according to established therapy plans
• Monitor patient response to treatment and communicate progress, concerns, and changes to the supervising Physical Therapist
• Educate patients and caregivers on exercises, safety techniques, mobility strategies, and home exercise programs
• Assist patients with transfers, ambulation, positioning, and use of assistive devices
• Support patients in improving independence with activities of daily living and functional movement
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of treatment sessions, patient progress, and outcomes
• Collaborate with Physical Therapists, physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
• Participate in patient care planning, progress reviews, and discharge recommendations
• Maintain a safe, supportive, and patient-centered rehabilitation environment
• Follow infection control, patient safety, and regulatory standards


Required Qualifications:

• Active, unrestricted Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in the state of practice
• Associate’s degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
• Current BLS/CPR certification required
• Minimum 1–2 years of recent PTA experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of rehabilitation principles, therapeutic techniques, and patient care practices
• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively under the direction of a Physical Therapist
• Strong commitment to providing compassionate and patient-centered rehabilitation care
• Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) documentation preferred

Pay Rate
$45.08 - $49.96/hour
