Position Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to support Physical Therapists in providing high-quality rehabilitation services to patients with injuries, illnesses, or functional limitations. The PTA will assist with implementing individualized treatment plans, providing therapeutic interventions, monitoring patient progress, and helping patients improve mobility, strength, independence, and overall quality of life under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist Physical Therapists in implementing individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and goals
• Provide therapeutic exercises, mobility training, gait training, balance activities, and functional rehabilitation interventions
• Assist patients with improving strength, endurance, coordination, and overall physical function
• Perform treatment activities within scope of practice and according to established therapy plans
• Monitor patient response to treatment and communicate progress or concerns to the supervising Physical Therapist
• Educate patients and caregivers on exercises, safety techniques, and home exercise programs
• Assist patients with transfers, ambulation, and use of assistive devices
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of treatment sessions and patient progress
• Collaborate with Physical Therapists, physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
• Participate in discharge planning and support recommendations for continued care
• Ensure compliance with patient safety, infection control, and rehabilitation standards
• Maintain a safe, supportive, and patient-centered therapy environment
Required Qualifications:
• Active, unrestricted Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in the state of practice
• Associate’s degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
• Current CPR/BLS certification required
• Minimum 1–2 years of recent PTA experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of rehabilitation techniques, therapeutic exercises, and mobility training
• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively under the supervision of a Physical Therapist and within a multidisciplinary team
• Strong commitment to providing compassionate and patient-centered rehabilitation care
Pay Rate
$33.68 - $38.56/hour
