Job Description – Travel Pharmacist (Texas Licensed)

Position Title: Pharmacist (TX Licensed) – Req #10208
Location: Texas
Contract Schedule: 7 Days On / 7 Days Off (7ON/7OFF)
Shift Options:

  • Night Shift (3 x 10-hour shifts): 8:00 PM – 6:30 AM
  • Night Shift (4 x 10-hour shifts): 8:00 PM – 6:30 AM

Position Overview

We are seeking a Texas-licensed Pharmacist for a hospital-based assignment at a Children's Hospital and Level II Pediatric Trauma Center. This position follows a 7-on/7-off schedule and initially covers night shifts. In July/August, the role will transition to a day shift assignment to provide coverage for a pharmacist on FMLA leave through January 13, 2027.

Schedule & Requirements

  • Primary Schedule: 7 days on / 7 days off
  • Initial Shift: Nights, 8:00 PM – 6:30 AM
  • Future Shift Change: Transition to days in July/August 2026 through January 13, 2027
  • Weekends: Required every other weekend
  • Block Scheduling: Required
  • On-Call: Not required
  • Floating: No
  • 48-Hour Weeks: Not approved

Minimum Qualifications

  • Active Texas Pharmacist License
  • Required: Recent hospital pharmacy experience
  • Required: Some pediatric pharmacy exposure
  • Experience exclusively in retail pharmacy is not acceptable
  • Strong clinical and operational pharmacy skills in an acute care setting

Important Note: Hospital pharmacy experience is a mandatory requirement. Candidates with only retail pharmacy experience should not be submitted. Pediatric exposure is also required.

Pay Rate
$67.58 - $72.46/hour
