Position Summary

Hospital is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacist to join its healthcare team. The Pharmacist will be responsible for ensuring the safe and effective use of medications, providing clinical pharmacy services, and collaborating with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review, verify, and dispense prescribed medications accurately and efficiently.
  • Monitor patient medication therapies and evaluate for appropriateness, effectiveness, and safety.
  • Provide drug information and clinical consultation to physicians, nurses, and patients.
  • Participate in medication reconciliation and patient counseling.
  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies, state regulations, and pharmacy practice standards.
  • Maintain accurate pharmacy records and documentation.
  • Supervise and support pharmacy technicians and other support staff.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and medication safety programs.
  • Maintain inventory control and proper storage of pharmaceuticals.
  • Support interdisciplinary healthcare teams in optimizing patient outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from an accredited institution.
  • Current New York State Pharmacist License and registration required.
  • Minimum of 2–3 years of hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of hospital pharmacy operations, clinical pharmacology, and medication management.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
  • Completion of Pharmacy Residency Program is preferred but not required.
  • Commitment to continuing education and professional development.

Pay Rate
$98.86 - $103.74/hour
