Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Job Description
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or physician. The LPN is responsible for administering medications, monitoring patient conditions, documenting care, assisting with treatments and procedures, and supporting patients with activities of daily living. The LPN collaborates with the healthcare team to ensure quality patient care and maintain a safe and comfortable environment for patients.
Key Responsibilities:

Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.

Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions and vital signs.

Assist with patient care planning and implementation.

Perform wound care, dressing changes, and other nursing procedures.

Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation.

Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs).

Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.

Follow infection control, safety, and facility policies and procedures.

Report changes in patient condition to the supervising RN or physician.
Qualifications:

Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program.

Active and unrestricted LPN/LVN license in the applicable state.

Current BLS certification (preferred or required per facility).

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Requirements:

Minimum 1 year of clinical nursing experience preferred.

Knowledge of nursing principles, patient care practices, and medical terminology.

Ability to pass ********* *****, drug screening, and health clearance requirements.

Ability to lift, move, and assist patients as needed.

Experience with EMR/EHR documentation systems preferred.

Ability to work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary healthcare team.
Pay Rate
$34.44 - $39.32/hour
