Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)
Position Summary
We are seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to provide therapeutic care under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist. The PTA will assist patients in improving mobility, strength, balance, and functional independence.
Responsibilities
- Carry out treatment plans developed by the Physical Therapist.
- Provide therapeutic exercises and other assigned interventions.
- Assist patients with walking, transfers, balance, and mobility activities.
- Perform range-of-motion and strengthening exercises.
- Monitor patient response and report changes to the Physical Therapist.
- Educate patients on exercises and home programs as directed.
- Assist with gait training and appropriate assistive devices.
- Document treatments and patient progress accurately.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized therapy environment.
- Follow patient safety, infection control, and professional standards.
Qualifications
- Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
- Current PTA license or certification as applicable.
- Previous clinical experience preferred.
- Strong communication, organizational, and patient-care skills.
- Ability to follow treatment plans and work effectively with the healthcare team.
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
Pay Rate
$48.00 - $55.00/hour
