Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
Position Summary
We are seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to provide occupational therapy services under the direction of a licensed Occupational Therapist. The COTA will help patients improve functional abilities, independence, and daily living skills.
Responsibilities
- Implement treatment plans developed by the Occupational Therapist.
- Provide therapeutic activities to improve functional and daily living skills.
- Assist patients with strength, coordination, balance, and motor skills.
- Provide training in activities of daily living and adaptive techniques.
- Assist with the use of adaptive equipment as directed.
- Monitor patient response and report progress to the Occupational Therapist.
- Educate patients and caregivers on therapy techniques and home programs.
- Maintain accurate and timely treatment documentation.
- Follow patient safety and infection control procedures.
- Collaborate with the Occupational Therapist and healthcare team.
Qualifications
- Associate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
- Current COTA certification and state license as applicable.
- Previous clinical experience preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to follow treatment plans and work effectively with healthcare professionals.
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
Pay Rate
$35.00 - $42.00/hour
