Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
Position Summary
We are seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to provide therapeutic services under the direction of an Occupational Therapist. The COTA will help patients improve their functional abilities, independence, and quality of life through individualized treatment activities.
Responsibilities
- Implement treatment plans developed by the Occupational Therapist.
- Provide therapeutic activities to improve daily living and functional skills.
- Assist patients with mobility, coordination, strength, and motor skills.
- Monitor patient progress and report changes to the Occupational Therapist.
- Educate patients and caregivers on therapeutic techniques and activities.
- Maintain accurate and timely treatment documentation.
- Assist with adaptive equipment and techniques as appropriate.
- Follow patient safety and infection control procedures.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to support patient goals.
- Maintain a professional and supportive treatment environment.
Qualifications
- Associate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
- Current COTA certification and state licensure as applicable.
- Previous clinical experience preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to follow treatment plans and work effectively as part of a healthcare team.
- Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care.
Pay Rate
$48.00 - $55.00/hour
