Outpatient Physical Therapist (Pediatrics)

Position Summary

Provide specialized physical therapy services to pediatric patients in an outpatient setting. Help children improve mobility, strength, balance, coordination, and functional independence through individualized treatment plans.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate pediatric patients and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Provide therapeutic exercises and age-appropriate activities to improve mobility and coordination.
  • Assist children with balance, gait, strength, flexibility, and motor development.
  • Monitor progress and modify treatment plans as needed.
  • Educate parents and caregivers on exercises, positioning, safety, and home programs.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
  • Collaborate with physicians, occupational therapists, speech therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Create a safe, supportive, and engaging therapy environment.

Qualifications

  • Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent degree from an accredited program.
  • Current Physical Therapist license in the applicable state.
  • Previous pediatric physical therapy experience preferred.
  • Experience working in an outpatient setting preferred.
  • Strong communication, clinical, and pediatric patient-care skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with children, families, and a multidisciplinary team.

Pay Rate
$71.90 - $76.78/hour
