Outpatient Chemotherapy/Infusion RN
Position Summary
We are seeking an Outpatient Chemotherapy/Infusion Registered Nurse (RN) to provide specialized nursing care to patients receiving chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and other infusion treatments. The RN will safely administer therapies, monitor patient responses, and provide education and support.
Responsibilities
- Assess patients before, during, and after infusion treatments.
- Verify treatment orders, medications, dosages, and patient information.
- Administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and other prescribed infusions.
- Access and maintain peripheral IVs and central venous access devices as applicable.
- Monitor patients for adverse reactions and changes in condition.
- Respond promptly to infusion reactions and other emergencies.
- Provide symptom management and supportive care as ordered.
- Educate patients and families about treatments, medications, and side effects.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
- Follow chemotherapy safety, infection control, and patient-care standards.
- Collaborate with oncologists, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals.
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Previous oncology, chemotherapy, infusion, or outpatient nursing experience preferred.
- Knowledge of infusion therapy, chemotherapy administration, and central line care.
- Strong assessment, critical-thinking, and patient-monitoring skills.
- BLS certification and applicable chemotherapy/infusion training.
Pay Rate
$64.28 - $69.16/hour
