Outpatient Pharmacist
Position Summary
We are seeking an Outpatient Pharmacist to safely and accurately dispense medications and provide pharmacy services to patients in an outpatient setting. The Pharmacist will review prescriptions, counsel patients, manage medication therapy, and support safe medication use.
Responsibilities
Review and accurately dispense prescription medications.
Verify prescriptions for appropriate dosing, interactions, and contraindications.
Counsel patients on medication use, side effects, and adherence.
Communicate with providers regarding medication-related questions and concerns.
Manage medication inventory, storage, and expiration dates.
Provide medication therapy management and clinical support as appropriate.
Maintain accurate pharmacy records and documentation.
Support immunizations and other pharmacy services as permitted.
Follow state and federal pharmacy regulations and patient safety standards.
Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant pharmacy environment.
Qualifications
Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or equivalent pharmacy degree.
Active Pharmacist license in the applicable state.
Previous outpatient or community pharmacy experience preferred.
Strong knowledge of medications, dosing, interactions, and safety practices.
Excellent communication, patient counseling, and organizational skills.
Ability to work effectively with patients, providers, and the healthcare team.
Pay Rate
$68.09 - $72.97/hour
