Job Summary
The Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) is responsible for planning and developing programs that enhance patient care and improve employee performance. This role monitors patient care performance across units, collaborates with nurse managers to assess operational effectiveness, and supports the implementation of corrective actions when needed. The ADON also develops and maintains record-keeping systems related to medication errors and patient counseling to ensure compliance and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and implement programs to improve patient care outcomes and staff performance.
- Monitor and evaluate patient care performance across assigned units.
- Partner with nurse managers to assess unit operations and identify improvement opportunities.
- Communicate findings and assist with corrective action planning and implementation.
- Develop and maintain record-keeping systems for medication errors and patient counseling activities.
- Support compliance with healthcare regulations, policies, and quality standards.
Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum seven (7) years of nursing experience required.
- At least five (5) years of experience in a supervisory or leadership role required.
- Minimum two (2) years of Emergency Department (ED) experience required.

Schedule
- Monday through Friday schedule.
- One weekend shift required per month.
Pay Rate
$113.72 - $118.59/hour
