Position Title: Nurse Supervisor
Job Summary
The Nurse Supervisor is responsible for planning, developing, and implementing programs that improve patient care quality and enhance employee performance. This role oversees nursing operations, monitors patient care standards, collaborates with Nurse Managers to assess unit performance, and supports corrective action initiatives when necessary. The Nurse Supervisor also develops and maintains record-keeping systems related to medication errors, staff counseling, and performance management activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and implement programs to improve patient care outcomes and nursing performance.
- Monitor and evaluate nursing services and patient care delivery across assigned units.
- Collaborate with Nurse Managers to assess unit operations, staffing, and compliance with healthcare standards.
- Communicate performance concerns and assist with corrective action planning and follow-up.
- Develop and maintain systems for documenting medication errors, employee counseling, and related reports.
- Ensure adherence to hospital policies, nursing regulations, and patient safety protocols.
- Support staff development, training, mentoring, and performance improvement initiatives.
- Participate in quality assurance and continuous improvement activities.
- Promote a safe, professional, and patient-centered care environment.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
- Minimum of seven (7) years of nursing experience required.
- At least five (5) years of supervisory or leadership experience required.
- Strong knowledge of patient care standards, nursing operations, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent communication, leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous hospital supervisory experience preferred.
- Experience with quality improvement initiatives and incident reporting systems is a plus.

Pay Rate
$107.58 - $112.46/hour
