Registered Nurse (RN) – NICU / Nursery
Position Summary
Provide specialized nursing care to newborns, including premature, critically ill, and healthy infants. Monitor newborn conditions, administer treatments, support families, and collaborate with the neonatal healthcare team.
Responsibilities
- Assess and monitor newborns’ vital signs, respiratory status, and overall condition.
- Provide routine and specialized care for premature and critically ill infants.
- Administer medications, IV fluids, and prescribed treatments.
- Monitor feeding, nutrition, weight, intake, and output.
- Provide respiratory support and assist with neonatal procedures as needed.
- Recognize and respond to changes in newborn condition and emergencies.
- Educate and support parents and families on newborn care.
- Maintain accurate and timely nursing documentation.
- Collaborate with neonatologists, physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
- Follow infection-control, patient-safety, and neonatal care standards.
Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
- Current RN license in the applicable state.
- Previous NICU, nursery, neonatal, or pediatric nursing experience preferred.
- BLS certification required.
- NRP and PALS certification preferred/required as applicable.
- Strong clinical, communication, and critical-thinking skills.
Pay Rate
$49.03 - $53.91/hour
