Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) Registered Nurse
Position Summary
We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide specialized care to patients in an Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU). The RN will monitor patients with complex medical needs, administer treatments, recognize changes in condition, and coordinate care with the healthcare team.
Responsibilities
- Assess and continuously monitor patients with complex medical conditions.
- Monitor vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and changes in patient status.
- Administer medications, IV therapy, and prescribed treatments.
- Manage oxygen therapy and other supportive care as needed.
- Recognize and respond to changes in patient condition.
- Assist with procedures and emergency interventions.
- Educate patients and families regarding care and treatment.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Follow infection control, safety, and patient care standards.
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Nursing degree from an accredited program.
- Intermediate care, step-down, telemetry, or critical care experience preferred.
- Strong assessment, monitoring, and clinical decision-making skills.
- BLS certification; ACLS may be required based on unit requirements.
Pay Rate
$61.99 - $66.87/hour
