Infection Prevention Nurse (RN)
Position Summary
Lead infection prevention and control activities to promote a safe healthcare environment for patients, staff, and visitors. Monitor infection trends, support prevention initiatives, and ensure compliance with established infection-control standards.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and track healthcare-associated infections and infection trends.
- Conduct infection surveillance and investigate potential outbreaks.
- Develop and implement infection prevention policies and practices.
- Educate staff on hand hygiene, PPE, isolation precautions, and infection-control procedures.
- Conduct audits and provide feedback on infection prevention practices.
- Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams on infection-control initiatives.
- Maintain accurate infection surveillance and regulatory documentation.
- Assist with staff training and quality improvement programs.
- Stay current with infection prevention guidelines and regulatory requirements.
- Promote patient safety and compliance with infection-control standards.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Current and active RN license in the applicable state.
- Infection prevention, nursing, or healthcare quality experience preferred.
- Certification in Infection Control (CIC) preferred.
- Strong analytical, communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
Pay Rate
$59.52 - $64.40/hour
