Imaging Specialist – CT/X-Ray
Position Summary
Perform CT and X-ray imaging procedures while ensuring high-quality diagnostic images, patient safety, and compassionate care. Operate imaging equipment, follow radiation safety standards, and collaborate with healthcare providers.
Responsibilities
- Perform CT and X-ray examinations according to established protocols.
- Position and prepare patients appropriately for imaging procedures.
- Operate and monitor CT and radiographic equipment safely and effectively.
- Screen patients for relevant medical history, allergies, and contraindications.
- Administer contrast media as authorized and monitor patients for reactions.
- Maintain radiation safety and infection-control standards.
- Evaluate image quality and repeat studies when necessary.
- Document procedures, patient information, and imaging results accurately.
- Perform routine equipment checks and report technical issues.
- Communicate significant or urgent findings to the appropriate healthcare team.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology or related imaging program.
- Current ARRT certification and applicable state licensure.
- CT certification or relevant CT experience preferred.
- Previous experience in both CT and X-ray imaging preferred.
- BLS certification required.
- Strong patient-care, communication, and technical skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Pay Rate
$79.52 - $84.40/hour
