HIM Director
We are seeking an experienced HIM Director to lead Health Information Management operations and ensure the accuracy, security, accessibility, and compliance of patient health information.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee daily Health Information Management operations and staff.
Manage medical records, documentation, coding, and health information processes.
Ensure patient records are accurate, complete, secure, and maintained according to applicable regulations.
Develop and implement HIM policies, procedures, and quality improvement initiatives.
Monitor compliance with privacy, confidentiality, and health information regulations.
Collaborate with clinical, administrative, and leadership teams to improve documentation and information management processes.
Track department performance, resolve issues, and prepare reports for leadership.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
Current RHIA or RHIT certification preferred/required as applicable.
Previous HIM leadership or management experience required.
Strong knowledge of medical records, privacy regulations, compliance, and health information systems.
Excellent leadership, communication, organization, and analytical skills.
Pay Rate
$75.71 - $80.59/hour
